Watch live here on Kayo. Here’s the preview of all you need to know for Friday night.

Eagles v Bombers preview

Essendon travel to Perth after a turnaround of form last Friday night against St Kilda. Having won just two games all year, the Bombers blitzed St Kilda in the second and third terms to conquer the top four contender 107 to 72. And did it without star midfielder Darcy Parish. The midfielder will again miss this week.

Jake Stringer returned to somewhere near his best in the win with two goals and 16 disposals.

Returning premiership stars Dom Sheed, Willie Rioli, Elliot Yeo and Jeremy McGovern all gave West Coast a lift against Geelong, last Saturday at home, and were among seven changes to the Eagles’ side. But it wasn’t enough to get them over the line yet the improved performance should give them hope this Friday night.

Both Sheed and McGovern will miss this Friday night through injury.

History between Eagles and Bombers

Essendon took home the four competition points from Perth when they met West Coast in May last year. The Bombers-Eagles rivalry is one which ignited back in 1993, when the now famous jacket wave by a jubilant Kevin Sheedy came to be part of AFL folklore, as Essendon legend Paul Salmon kicked a goal after the siren to beat the then defending premiers.

A moment the great coach has recreated many times since.
