Breakout star Jordan Clark has committed long-term to Fremantle in another vote of confidence to the club’s maiden premiership tilt under Justin Longmuir.

The Dockers announced on Thursday Clark had penned a contract extension until the end of 2028, joining teammates including Hayden Young, Sean Darcy and Luke Ryan to ink long-term deals.

The 23-year-old has emerged as one of the AFL’s best running defenders this year, averaging a career-high 25.8 disposals and six marks a game.

“For me it was a no-brainer,” Clark said.

“Getting to play another three years of that is really exciting and something I don’t take for granted that’s for sure.”

Brennan Cox, Matthew Johnson, Luke Jackson, Jye Amiss and Caleb Serong are also signed beyond 2026.

“Obviously it’s nice to be playing well and to have that confidence in my game at the moment, but there are a lot of other factors that are allowing me to play the way I play,” Clark said.

“This game isn’t about the individual success or performance for me. I just want to win. I want our team to win. I want us to be playing finals and for this club to be successful.”

Fremantle’s head of player personnel David Wallis praised Clark’s impact.

“Jordan is all-in at Fremantle. He plays with real passion, bleeds purple and has become an integral part of our back seven,” Walls said.

“He is growing into a real leader on and off the field.”
