Subscriber perk: How to gift a CODE Sports story to friends and family

On top of getting access to the best sports journalism in Australia, CODE Sports subscribers can gift 5 stories every 28 days to a friend to read and that friend will be able to access that story whether or not they are a subscriber.

Here’s how it works on the mobile website.

At the end of every story on the website, there is a Gift icon (highlighted below) that you can click on to gift that article.

Click ‘Gift this story now’ and then copy the link that is created.

Drop the link into an email or social sharing app of your choice, and send to someone you know.

They will receive the link and will be granted instant access to the story even if they don’t have a CODE Sports subscription.

They will see a message on the story (below) confirming they have been gifted the story by a CODE Sports subscriber.

Subscribers can gift up to 5 stories every 28 days to their friends and family.

You can easily keep track of how many stories you have gifted (see below).

It’s a similar process in the CODE Sports app.

To initiate the Gifting process, simply visit any article while logged in.

Tap on the Gift icon at the top of the article (circled right/below).

Then generate your unique link and gift it to a friend using your device’s share tools.
