Brisbane Bullets bring back import Javon Freeman-Liberty in bombshell roster decision
Javon Freeman-Liberty left Brisbane after just two games but, days after the Bullets lost two imports, they have made the bombshell decision to bring him back.
Javon Freeman-Liberty is making a surprise comeback to the Brisbane Bullets, less than six weeks after he departed the club.
Code Sports has learned the American scoring machine will make a bombshell return as an injury replacement for the rest of the season.
It’s understood Freeman-Liberty had struggled with mental health issues throughout his short tenure. But sources said his emotional exit left him at a crossroads and became a turning point for the 26-year-old.

The Chicago-born wing opened up to his family about his struggles, sought help and made significant changes that have allowed him to tackle life — and basketball — with a clearer mind.
Those changes fuelled a desire to return to the Bullets, who had helped him identify and work through his struggles, sources said.
Freeman-Liberty even went to the lengths of calling individual players to explain his situation and ask if they would welcome him back.
It’s understood the former Toronto Raptor had a robust conversation with hard-as-nails veteran guard Mitch Norton, which resulted in the playing group deciding to open their arms to a return to the club.
Freeman-Liberty will complete the club’s revamped roster after it acted quickly in securing former NBA forward Terry Taylor in the wake of underperforming guard Jaylen Adams’ departure and star forward Casey Prather’s season-ending knee injury.
