SuperCoach EPL: Top fantasy trade targets for week eight

The EPL is back in action after an international break, and it’s a great time to make some big moves in SuperCoach. Here are the players to target.

We are back.

After the second international break in the first few months of the Premier League season, SuperCoach EPL resumes this weekend.

It’s shaping as another important week, with some of the most popular cash cows ready to be cashed in and a host of fallen premiums about to bottom out in price.

Here’s who you should be targeting.

BUY

Donyell Malen (Aston Villa) £4,760,000 FWD

The Netherlands international grabbed his first goals of the Premier League season against Burnley last time out. That was only Malen’s second start of the campaign despite an impressive pre-season. Aston Villa’s biggest issue has been scoring goals and the flying Dutchman looks to have booked himself an extended run in Unai Emery’s side. Jump on before his price soars. He also found the back of the net during the international break.

Benjamin Sesko (Manchester United) £6,170,000 FWD

The critics were lining up to pot Manchester United’s big-money striker after an underwhelming start to his time at Old Trafford. Sesko blanked in his first six appearances for the Red Devils before scoring in consecutive matches against Brentford and Sunderland. Incredibly, he reached basement price in SuperCoach a few weeks ago – but has jumped £2.7m in the past two rounds. The Mbuemo-Cunha-Sesko combination is starting to click and with a –15 Break Even, Sesko still has plenty of money to make.

Mason Mount (Manchester United) £4,490,000 MID

The former Chelsea man has played himself back into favour in the past 4-5 weeks after a frustrating period stuck on the outer. Mount was one of the architects of Manchester United’s 2-0 win over Sunderland last round, scoring just his fifth goal for the club in 54 appearances. His score of 18 against the Black Cats was a clear outlier but at rookie price, he could be a great downgrade if you’re looking to build your bank.

Morgan Rogers (Aston Villa) £6,100,000 FWD

Thomas Tuchel made a huge statement with his latest England squad when he preferred Rogers to boy wonder Jude Bellingham. And Rogers vindicated the faith, scoring one of England’s three goals against Wales. Rogers is yet to score in the Premier League this season but has two assists in his last two matches. He’s brimming with confidence and is still underpriced in SuperCoach.

Daniel Munoz (Crystal Palace) £10,990,000 DEF

Unless you’re a longtime Premier League watcher, there’s a decent chance you won’t have heard of the Crystal Palace wing-back. But he is not only a star of Oliver Glasner’s Palace side but also SuperCoach. Munoz finished last season as the top-ranked defender and has vindicated his high starting price with five scores of 10 or better already this campaign. He’s played 90-plus minutes in every match, is yet to score less than six points and is shaping as one of the must-have defenders again.

HOLD

Micky van de Ven (Tottenham Hotspur) £7,880,000

The easy option would be to panic trade van de Ven after scores of 1, 6 and 5 in his last three matches. But trades are so valuable in SuperCoach EPL that you won’t last the season sideways trading premiums. The Tottenham star still ranks in the top-20 defenders for total points and with a Break Even of 11 this round, he’s worth at least one more look. If he blanks again this week, upgrade van de Ven to one of the premium defenders like Marcos Senesi, Gabriel or Munoz.

Mohamed Salah (Liverpool) £9,010,000

The Liverpool winger’s price has fallen so far that there’s really no point jumping ship now. You would be locking in a loss of more than $6m. Salah has scored 11, 28 and 10 points in his last three matches against Manchester United, who Liverpool faces this week. Incredibly, his lowest SuperCoach score against the Red Devils in his Premier League career is 10.

SELL

Anton Stach (Leeds United) £8,990,000

Having almost doubled in price, this is the perfect week to cash in the Leeds United man. Stach has been a superb pick in SuperCoach, especially for those that showed faith long enough to get his score of 24 points against Wolverhampton. But he has five scores under 10 in seven rounds and a Break Even of 15 this week.

El Hadji Malick Diouf (West Ham United) £7,630,000

Another popular starting pick who looks ripe for cashing in. The 13 he scored in round 5 against Crystal Palace has dropped out of his price cycle and Diouf has a Break Even of 14 this week. The most popular trade this round is Diouf to Chelsea left-back Marc Cucurella, which makes sense. You don’t want to be relying on defenders from struggling teams long-term.
