BEST BET

DIAMOND GUST (Race 2 No.1): Slow away and a few things went against him in his Sandown placing when resuming. He’ll be much better for that and will be hard to beat.

NEXT BEST

JAGUAR PAW (Race 3 No.5): The son of Dundeel has moved well at the Cranbourne jumpouts and is capable of taking that form to Bendigo on debut.

GRINZINGER SUN (Race 7 No.13): The Danny O’Brien-trained mare won her first two starts last time in and has trialled well enough to suggest she’ll be hard to beat at Bendigo.

LAY OF THE DAY
ROCK THEM JOOLS (Race 8 No. 16): Had things his way to score in maiden company at Sandown but faces tougher opposition at Bendigo and the addition of the one-eyed blinker is a concern.

THE JOCKEY – JAMIE MOTT
The jockey should be among the winners in his five rides at Bendigo. AXIOM (Race 2 No.3), STARISTA (Race 3 No.9), FISHERMAN’S BEACH (Race 5 No.7), REGAL TYCOON (Race 6 No.7), LUNAR MODULE (Race 7 No.4).
