Kiwi gun She’s A Dealer has been sent on a hit-and-run mission to snare a share of Sydney’s autumn loot in Saturday’s $250,000 Group 3 JRA Plate (2000m) at Royal Randwick.

Trainers Roger James and Robert Wellwood already have the flight booked home on Sunday for their Group 1-winning mare but are hoping she will be bringing back some silverware across the Tasman with her.

“It’s a hit-and-run,” James said.

“She was looking to go 2000m and she is a Group 1 winner in New Zealand now.

“There was a Group 3 here next week that would have been suitable for her but we thought we would try to get some Australian black type with her.”

‘It truly is life-changing’: The snap purchase that’s now worth millions

It’s not the first time She’s A Dealer has raced at Royal Randwick after the daughter of Ace High ran second in an 1800m event at the track last May.

That run was used as a lead-up to the Group 1 Queensland Oaks (2200m) at Eagle Farm where She’s A Dealer performed admirably, finishing fifth.

She has gone to a new level in recent times back in New Zealand and put a Group victory on her resume last start when scoring in the NZ Thoroughbred Breeders’ Stakes (1600m) at Trentham last month.

She’s A Dealer has continued to impress since her first major triumph and is ready to step back out to 2000m.

“We are very happy with her,” James said.

“She arrived on Monday night, she has settled in well and bounced.

“It’s a difficult draw so we have to have a bit of luck and hope there is enough pace in the race.”

She’s A Dealer has commanded respect in betting and sits on the third line of betting at $6.50 for the JRA Plate.

Victorian jockey Jordan Childs will do the steering on the four-year-old.

It’s the second time this autumn James and Wellwood have had a runner in Sydney after NZ Derby winner Road To Paris finished seventh in the Group 1 Australian Derby on day one of The Championships.
