Hidden Valley ready for 2025 Australian Supercars return
The 2025 Darwin Supercars promises to be a thriller with a hometown hero, retiring champion and a championship race on a knife’s edge. Here’s what you need to know.
The Australian Supercars are back in town and with plenty of excitement expected on the track and off it for the thousands of visitors.
A thrilling championship race will be the centrepiece as the Supercars drivers arrive in Darwin for the 2025 edition of the Darwin Triple Crown.
Territorian Bryce Fullwood was super keen to return to his home track with a view of making an impact as his car improves.
“Darwin is a super important race for me, I spent so much of my time here as a junior, it’s my home,” Fullwood said.
“Being the only Territory driver in the series I get to feel this event is mine, I get a lot of support here and this is an event that means a lot to me.”
Fullwood also uses the return home as an opportunity to catch up with friends and family, as well as interact with the next generation of Territorians.
“I didn’t start off wanting to be a Supercars driver, I was racing go karts at Hidden Valley,” Fullwood said.
“I didn’t have those aspirations purely because I didn’t think it was possible coming from Darwin, but I learned if you work really hard and dedicate yourself it doesn’t matter where you come from.
“I moved from home at 16 to follow my dream of racing so if you put a lot of time and effort into it you will 100 percent be able to make it wherever you come from.”
Meanwhile, 2010 Supercars champion James Courtney will race at Darwin for the final time in what has been an emotional farewell tour in his retirement season.
Courtney claimed a drought-breaking podium in Perth last round and is excited for a Top End return, a location he’s had as much fun off the track as on it.

“I’ve got plenty of memories of spending time with family here and seeing the national parks and Mataranka,” Courtney said.
“The track to town is wild and we’ve had so many amazing memories racing here, I’ve led here and lost engines here.
“But for me Darwin as a destination has been fantastic to bring the kids up to, it’s also where I found out I was having my first child, which is something else I’ll never forget.”
