Broncos’ fullback sensation, Reece Walsh, has won hearts across Brisbane and beyond with a heartwarming Instagram tribute to his two-year-old daughter, Leila Arohamauroa.

The 21-year-old single father and rising NRL star showcased a series of adorable photos and videos, offering fans a glimpse into his off-field life as a devoted dad.

In the touching display of father-daughter bonding, the Instagram post included videos of Walsh and Leila sharing precious moments on the field, a charming photo of Leila in a pretty dress alongside her dapper dad in a suit, and an adorable image of her at Suncorp Stadium holding a commentator microphone.

In an especially emotional moment from one of the videos, taken during a post-game interview, Walsh opened up about the significance of his daughter in his life and career.

“She’s my rock, she’s the reason why I go out there and put on this jersey,” he said.

Accompanying the photos, Walsh’s caption, “With me every step of the way,” alongside a heart hands and a globe emoji, resonated with his followers, garnering over 75,000 reactions in less than 24 hours.

Fans and followers were quick to comment, with one fan commenting, “Omg this is absolutely beautiful, this is cuteness overload right here”, and another adding, “Gorgeous relationship between a father and his daughter, she just adores you and you are a very doting dad”.

The touching post comes after Walsh’s split from his longtime partner and mother of his daughter, Freda Puru, in 2023.

The couple, who welcomed Leila in March 2021 when Walsh was just 18, continue to co-parent their daughter, proving that family remains a top priority for the Origin star.

Walsh’s posts come just months after it was revealed his popularity had surged to the point that he had more Instagram followers than many clubs, and was set to overtake the Broncos’ official account.
