North Queensland and St George Illawarra open round 14, Friday 10 June, following State of Origin game one on Wednesday. Here’s how to watch the match and catch up on all the news in the lead-up.

Cowboys v Dragons preview

With or without their Origin stars, only the all-conquering Panthers have been able to stop the Cowboys in the past eight weeks and they take on the Dragons back at home this Friday.

Generation next for Queensland were standouts in the emphatic 26-point win over Gold Coast last Thursday. Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow and Heilum Luki were outstanding without four regular Cowboys, all in Origin camp, including Valentine Holmes and Reuben Cotter.

St George Illawarra had the benefit of the bye last week but will meet much stiffer opposition than the Warriors and Bulldogs in its previous two wins before the break.

Cotter and Nanai are unlikely to back up following Queensland’s win on Wednesday night, with centre Valentine Holmes the most likely. For the Dragons, Ben Hunt is a chance to play, while Tariq Sims could put his feet up.
