Panthers v Roosters preview
The Roosters are continuing to take the cautious approach with Luke Keary and his concussion with the half set to miss the clash against the defending premiers. Sam Walker will start at halfback and it is tipped Joey Manu will switch to six after a Test match performance for the ages last week.
After Nathan Cleary’s epic performance in Origin II for the NSW Blues on Sunday, Penrith’s captain has escaped punishment for a high tackle on Kalyn Ponga. He has been named to back up along with the six other Blues in Penrith’s starting line-up.
The Panthers’ have lost just one of their 15 matches all season, by two to Parramatta, at home. The Roosters are unexpectedly just outside the eight prior to round 16 and past the halfway point of this year’s campaign.
