For a third time, Australian fighter Alexander Volkanovski will take on American Max Holloway for the UFC featherweight title in Las Vegas. The other world title fight scheduled for Sunday 3 July is New Zealand’s Israel Adesanya against Jared Cannonier.

Volkanovski v Holloway preview

Both Volkanovski and Holloway head into what has been a hyped trilogy, with the Australian yet to lose, despite the narrow margins of their previous two fights. And as always, there has been plenty said.

The man from Shellharbour has vowed to finish the superstar Hawaiian at UFC 276 with Holloway having never been dropped in 25 Octagon appearances, and lost six of his 23 fights.

Among Holloway’s previous opponents include Conor McGregor, Jose Aldo and Dustin Poirier. Volkanovski, 33, has one more career fight to his name, undefeated since his one loss in 2013 (but never in the UFC) and has three years’ more experience than his 30-year-old rival.

They last met in July 2020 with Holloway seeking to retain his crown as featherweight champion which he lost to Volkanovski in 2019.

What time is the Volkanovski v Holloway fight?

Coverage of UFC 276 live on Main Event at Kayo starts from 12pm (AEST), 11.30am (ACST) and 10am (AWST), Sunday 3 July.

Volkanovski v Holloway is the second to last fight scheduled on the card followed by Adesanya v Cannonier as the main middleweight fight in Las Vegas.
