It’s a simple formula: play more often and you’ll score more SuperCoach points.

Knowing which teams feature twice in a round is the best starting point for picking your team each week.

That’s even more important in the exciting new Beat the Coach format. No need to build a bank and plan trades over a gruelling season, just pick a fresh six-man line-up every round – and if you outscore NBL superstar Montrezl Harrell’s squad, you’re in the running for a prize pool worth $10,000.

Tasmania Jackjumpers and Melbourne United open the 2025-26 season on Thursday, September 18. And both teams double up in the opening round, with Tasmania travelling to Perth and United hosting the NZ Breakers in the final game of the weekend.

New Zealand also plays twice in round 1, making players from those teams perfect targets when picking a squad to topple Harrell.

It’s also worth noting Adelaide, Sydney and Illawarra all have a bye to start the season.

In round 2 we can pick a fresh team, with Cairns Taipans and Brisbane Bullets on the double.

Some other key takeaways from the schedule:

IN Round 3 there are no teams on a double and Melbourne and South East Melbourne have a bye

FROM round 4 we will have plenty of choice with at least six teams on a double until round 9.

IN rounds 13 and 18 every team is on a double.

In round 17 every team plays once.
