The pair was married in 2015 and Lara was a regular at race tracks around the country on the Supercars circuit with Lowndes.

Lowndes will race in a Triple Eight wildcard alongside Zach Bates at Mount Panorama next week when he will equal his late mentor Peter Brock’s number of Bathurst 1000 starts.

The seven-time Bathurst 1000 winner will suit up for Triple Eight for the last time before he makes a switch to Team 18 where he will lead the wildcard program for Chevrolet Racing from next year.
